| Review: | 2007 was a flagship year for me. My first visit to India, and I'd ridden a motorcycle briefly in Australia - enough to obtain a license and graduate a couple of Stay Upright courses. New Delhi was an inspiration and I felt immediately like I had been there before. Arriving at my Hotel after being collected at the airport by Phillipa Saxtion - Saffron Road's...everything - I felt welcomed, comfortable and apprehensive all at the same time. And then I was introduced to the Royal Enfield Motorcycle during a visit to Sonny Motors in Karal Bagh - Saffron Road Tours faithful and reliable bike suppliers and carers. My first tour was into Rajasthan - 23 days of pure adrenalin, adventure, culture and the magic that is India. So I had absolutely no hesitation in saddling up again for Saffron's Bhutan tour later that year. Starting in Kolkotta and including a ride from east to west through the Kingdom where gross national happiness is its queen, and including India's jewel-in-the-crown Darjeeling, the three weeks spent on tour vanished in the daily wonders. And then in 2009 I rode from India into Kashmir on the world's highest road - a national highway in some cases no wider than the wheels of a Tata truck. With accommodation as diverse as five star hotels to tents, and to the magic of a house boat on the lake in Shringar, this was an adventure like no other. If you do nothing else, or anything, in India, do it with Saffron Tours. |

| Review: | The Rajathstan tour was as varied as it is possible to get in Rajathstan. The tour deserves high marks for leaving the familiar tourist path. It finds itself in very genuine towns with interesting sites, activities and places to stay where you will be the only foriegner. The tour director also has a taste for better accomodation and her preferences are reflected in the tour. |
